About Our DAVEY Branch

My husband, John Monkman, descended from a George Frederick Davey, his great great grandfather, who was born around 1826 in Bethnel Green, London, England.   He and his wife Jane (nee Watson) had at least seven children, and the family lived in Bermondsey, Surrey, England.  You will find our Davey family tree by clicking above.

Their 6th child, Alfred Thomas Davey, immigrated to Canada after 1881, where he met and later married Elizabeth Whitmore.   Their 3rd daughter was John’s grandmother, Mary Jane Davey.
