About Our DYKENS Branch

I am descended from a Hilda Dykens, my great great grandmother, who was born about 1841.  She was married to James Colburn, and in 1871 they were living in River Philip, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia.   Together they had at least 6 children.  You will find my Dykens family tree by clicking above.

Their first child, Hilda (Eliza) Colburn (1856-1885) married Henry Austin, and they had 4 children, before she died at the young age of 28 years.   Their 3rd child was my granddad, James Edward Austin.

Efforts to find out more information about my DYKENS line has been futile thus far.   If you can assist me with this branch, I would be very happy to hear from you. (Linda@ourbegats.com)
